Retail Therapy – Multi-Purpose eCommerce Theme (WooCommerce)
Today we introduce our latest WordPress eCommerce theme, called Retail Therapy.
The New Hero Widget
As is the case with sites selling a lot of products, it’s often difficult to display that content elegantly – specifically when you want that content to be easily scanned by your visitors. With the Hero Widget we aimed to solve that problem.
With the new widget you are able to list items on sale, categories, featured products and recent products or collections. It’s dynamic and has similar usability to our super powerful Obox Content Widget.
Along with the new Hero Widget, you can also feature specific categories in a three bloxk layout and add a call to action button in your footer.
The Design
Never before have we explored more design options for a particular theme. We created a ton of designs for all sections of the site, everything from the header to the footer was explored in various ways. The worst ideas were discarded and the best were refined to pixel perfection.
Once we were happy with all the various elements we went about placing them together to match consistency across every page you visit.
Typography was a big inspiration for Retail Therapy and we made sure to obsess every font choice. Font sizes, line-heights and spacing were a massive focus for us and took up most of our time when developing it – the result is a beautiful balance between display fonts, serifs and sans-serifs.

- A portfolio template which can show your portfolio in a two, three or four column view
- A services template which enables you to showcase your full business offering. You can display a service icon on the page visually describing the services you offer

You can upload custom backgrounds to each slider, add a unique background color to each slider, it gives you ability to show videos or images, there are 5 different layouts and the ability to add a call to action button to each slide.
